Senior Mechanical Engineer - Position Available

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky we seek a senior level Mechanical Engineer to lead our equipment design team through this exciting growth phase of the business.

Our product portfolio includes top load and end load cartoners, product infeeds, case packing, robotic systems, custom sanitary skids, rebuilt packaging equipment, controls upgrades and custom packaging equipment with other end-of-line solutions. All machinery is manufactured by CRG Technologies in our Louisville manufacturing plant. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is critical to our front-line sales effort and the successful delivery of our projects. A leader in design solutions and innovation, the ideal candidate will be well versed in multiple part manufacturing process design and have extensive experience designing, specing and building automated equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties
o Initiate and complete advanced machinery design, through concise communication with sales personnel and customers.
o Develop accurate cost estimates and proposals in collaboration with our sales team. This would involve on-site audits of customer facilities to measure and document equipment in detail and generate 3D modelling.
o Provide solutions for technical issues during project discussions and the design review process.
o Lead the design and manufacturing teams to achieve project schedule delivery and meet business goals.
o Responsible for full machine/system mechanical functionality, including testing methods and adherence to applicable codes.
o Manage the development and review of documentation of new machine designs, including bill of material, drawings and operating manuals.
o Some travel required.

Qualifications and Requirements
o 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably designing packaging machinery.
o Proven track record of dealing with high-level corporate engineering, purchasing and plant management personnel.
o BS or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
o Excellent comprehension and experience with electro-mechanical devices.
o Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must, familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
o Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
o Quality and precision focused with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
o Understanding of programable logic controls preferable.

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and pursuit of sales targets, creating proposals and acquiring new business. This includes the ongoing servicing of existing accounts and generating new business from these clients. In addition, the individual is expected to be proactive in soliciting new customers and projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
o Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to target key demographics
o Evaluate and perform pertinent marketing initiatives
o Grow and service customer relationships
o Research and present accurate project estimates and proposals
o Foster mutually beneficial supplier and partner relationships
o Prepare and submit sales activity reports to management

Qualifications and Requirements
o A minimum of 7 to 10 years custom project related sales experience, ideally in automation and/or packaging machinery.
o Proven track record of dealing with high-level corporate Engineering, Purchasing and Plant Management personnel.
o A Degree in Marketing or Engineering is preferred, but other well-qualified candidates will be considered.

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing, creating, testing, and implementing PLC programs and HMI builds required to control systems and equipment. Able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team, the ideal candidate will be familiar with multiple part manufacturing process design and have experience programming control systems for automated equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties
o Solve electrical engineering problems from component through system level.
o Provide engineering and technical support for the sales, procurement, manufacturing and field service teams.
o Work with design and manufacturing teams to achieve project schedule delivery.
o Create schematics and panel plate drawings based on a sound working knowledge of electrical theory and industry practice.
o Contribute to the development and review of documentation of new machine designs, including bill of material, drawings and operating manuals.
o Troubleshoot existing /new panel wire connections and safety circuits.
o Some travel required to customer sites for field installations, support and de-bug.

Qualifications and Requirements
o 3-5 years hands on experience designing, programming, installing, de-bugging and maintaining PLC based control systems.
o BS degree in Electrical Engineering.
o Knowledge of NEC/OSHA safety regulations and requirements.
o Proficient with PLC ladder logic.
o Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Servo programming and HMI development.
o Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint a must, familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
