Our client faced a requirement by their customer to change the count configuration on dessert products packaged in a sleeve. The package change involved going from a six-count to a four-count while also increasing the height of the package walls. The customer faced a significant capital cost if they were required to purchase new sleevers to run the new package. They approached CRG to see if their existing systems could be modified. CRG was able to reconfigure the sleevers to run the new packages at the required production rate. The customer saved millions in potential capital outlays and was able to meet their customer’s goal in advance of their timeline.
